A Message From the Director

MISSING INFORMATION

We are in the process of reviewing the paperwork submitted for your child (Emergency form, All About Me form, Health Inventory, etc.). If you have received a request for missing information, please return it to the office or your child's teacher as soon as possible.

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

All Part-Time Students should arrive at 8:20AM at which time the double doors are opened for students to go to their classrooms. The teachers are waiting at their classroom doors to greet the students. Classes begin at 8:30AM.

Parents, etc., should return to GSEC at 11:25AM or 12:25PM to pick up students. Please wait in the foyer until the double doors are opened at 11:30AM or 12:30PM. Students are then picked up in their classrooms and everyone should exit by the door at the end of the Education Wing. Please pass this information to spouses and caregivers. Thank you!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION

We are participating in the Box Tops for Education program again this year. We are excited about this opportunity to earn cash for our Center. We earn 10 cents for every Box Top you bring to us! In past years, we have earned over $1,000.

Ways to participate:
»Complete Box Tops worksheet and return to your child's teacher
»Drop loose Box Tops in the collection box located on the GSEC bulletin board.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR

The Book Fair is coming in October! Mrs. Gollem and Mrs. Anderson are willing to help with this event. A parent volunteer to co-chair would be great! Please talk with Mrs. Carter for details.

PICTURE DAY:

Tuesday, October 2nd and Wednesday, October 3rd are the days designated to have individual school portraits taken. All Pre-K classes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 2nd. THE TWOS, PS3, PS5, and Preschool All Day are scheduled for Wednesday, October 3rd.

Forms will be sent home soon to allow you to choose a background for your child's picture. Please return them prior to your child's scheduled day. Thank you!

REMINDERS

»1.Cot bedding for Child Care cots should be brought each Monday and taken home to be laundered on Friday. Blankets should be light and only travel size pillows are allowed. Bedding can not touch the cot stacked above it.

»2.Notes and contents of book bags should be removed and checked each day. Please be sure to return your child's student folder each day.

»3.Articles of clothing (sweaters, hats, jackets, mittens, etc.) that will be removed during the school day should be labeled with your child's name.

»4.GSEC is a nut-sensitive environment. Please remember -- no peanuts, peanut butter, or nuts should be brought for snack or lunch. This includes items manufactured in a peanut facility.

»5.If you have not already done so, please return payment and enrollment paperwork to the office or tuition payment box no later than Friday, September 14th.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

A parent volunteer form with ways to volunteer in your child's class or in the Center will be coming home soon.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CLIP YOUR BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION. THE CENTER IS REIMBURSED 10 CENTS FOR EACH BOX TOP. YOU MAY DEPOSIT THEM IN THE COLLECTION BOX ON THE BULLETIN BOARD IN THE FOYER. THANK YOU!
