Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry at GSUMC

GSUMC has a rich and thriving children’s ministry and we would love for you and your child to come experience it with us. A staffed nursery is available for toddlers and babies during the service. Sunday School classes for elementary and pre-k students meet during the service. Children are dismissed for class following the children’s message.

There are several seasonal events that we hold for local children, including Trunk or Treat, the Living Nativity and Christmas Party for Jesus, and our Easter Egg Hunt.

Vacation Bible School

Our Vacation Bible School (VBS for short!) is held every summer to provide fun activities, music and lessons for the children in our community.

Seasonal Events

GSUMC hots a variety of seasonal events that are open to the community.

Spring: Easter Egg Hunt. Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt includes crafts, games, and a telling of the Easter story, as well as the Egg Hunt where kids can hunt and search for eggs that are filled with prizes!

Summer: Vacation Bible School. Our VBS program takes place every summer and transports children to interesting and far-off places where they can spend a week learning about God’s love for them.

Fall: Trunk or Treat. Our Trunk or Treat event offers a safe, family friendly environment for local children to come trick or treat and play a variety of seasonal games.

Winter: Drive-Thru Nativity and Birthday Party for Jesus. Our Drive-Thru Nativity event, put on by the Youth and church volunteers, offers a way for the community to come and witness the Nativity story from the comfort of your car! Afterwards, everyone is invited inside for the Birthday Party for Jesus, where kids can make seasonal crafts and play games.
